According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is interested in becoming the new manager of Manchester United. The pressure has been notably growing on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the course of the last few months, to the point where it seems like a matter of when and not if he will be sacked from his position at Old Trafford. However, United are said to have no interest in changing things up at this moment in time, with the popular opinion being that the Norwegian is going to be given the time he needs to turn things around.
Pochettino has been heavily linked with every big managerial position under the sun since being sacked from his position at the club, with Arsenal being one of the primary candidates in the race for his signature. Now, though, it has emerged that the Argentine would prefer to head up north for his next challenge as opposed to staying in the capital.
Daniel Levy is said to have put precautions in place that will block Pochettino from being able to take control of a rival club, but it doesn’t seem as if that’s going to hold up in the long run.
